Summary

Just as air traffic controllers need to effectively track and coordinate numerous data points in order to operate efficiently and avoid collisions, so too do medical practices.  Having systems in place to ensure that timely consultation reports are given to those who are depending on them (primary care clinicians, nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, etc.) will help ensure that patients receive the best possible care and avoid unnecessary litigation due to undelivered results.
